Gino D’Acampo advises caller to poison her mother-in-law

This Morning viewers were in hysterics on Tuesday as Gino D’Acampo turned into an agony uncle for the call-in segment of the show.

The 45-year-old Italian chef joined Phillip Schofield and Josie Gibson in the studio to dish out advice to various people watching at home, but it wasn’t necessarily good advice.

When one woman revealed her dilemma about spending Christmas with her mother-in-law, Gino did not hold back.

The lady, who was using the fake name Lisa, explained: “Gino, she doesn’t help in the kitchen, she doesn’t tidy up and she makes every Christmas not Christmas for me. She moans about everything.

“Unfortunately Christmas lands on Saturday and Sunday this year so she has two extra days,” she added.

Father-of-three Gino began by telling ‘Lisa’ to lie to her relative and tell her that she already has other plans for Christmas.

Gino stressed that elderly people don’t like changing their plans, so therefore the woman’s mother-in-law won’t want to alter her Christmas Day.

Phillip, 59, then joked that ‘Lisa’ should just move house, but Gino took it one step further.

“No they always find out,” Gino remarked, before adding: “Have you ever tried to slowly poison this woman? You have no hope whatsoever with this woman, poison!”

Viewers tuning in at home found the whole segment hilarious and took to Twitter to comment.

“Never thought I’d say this but they need Gino back for more phone ins like that!!! Hilarious!!!!!! #ThisMorning,” one person posted.

Another tweeted: “Gino for agony uncle from now on please #thismorning.”

Someone else posted: “Love Gino on this morning as agony uncle. Woman rang as mother in law invites herself to stay every Christmas for 3-4 days. Gino D’Acampo advice: poison her, slowly… #thismorning.”

A fourth added: “‘Poison her’ Agony Uncle Gino needs to be a regular thing #ThisMorning.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
