Ok so – at this point – who else is looking back on old vacation photos, just wishing they could book a getaway to some sunny locale?

We took this trip a few months after we got married and juuuuuust before I left my day job to start writing my book. Jeff’s kiddo was with us (not pictured bc privacy) and we did everything- zip-lining, swimming, boogie-boarding, sunset-watching, street-taco eating, hair braiding, laying in the sun, maxing and relaxing. We are a pretty good team when it comes to travel
.
Being part of a team has never come easily to me. I like to be in charge of all the things, constantly asking everyone to raise their hands if they are “still having fun” (trust me, it’s as fun as it sounds and now my family gives me endless shit about it). BUT I never was able to let anyone show up for me, bc I was too busy being in control of everything. What a delight, to have changed (a little), to let go of my tight grasp on everything and to revel in my family showing up for me.
