“Love me as I am”
It is only the babies who love their mother as she is. That’s it. Accepting the idea of personal mental evolution, that ideally is a life-long learning process, we no more love anybody “as they are”. We change to make coexistence comfortable, and our companions change to do so, and somewhere in the intersection between the two there is a plane of mutual understanding and bliss. Every act of communication is a lesson and a chance to become more humane and open-minded, if one lets it happen. Body and mind are designed to undergo the metamorphoses, and their adaptability is unprecedented, but it needs to be exercised. In this context, position of “love me as I am” becomes a factor impeding the development and boosting ignorance. Who needs that? Nobody. So embrace the change.
