He came into the kitchen last night, as I was finishing off my bit of the dinner prep, to say: “Remember when we didn’t live together, and I used to get in from work and I’d call you? You’d be lay on your bed, in your little room and I’d be sat on the purple chair nattering away to you.” For a moment, I wonder if he misses it — having his own space… so I asked… but he assured me he very much likes living together, social creature that he is. *and breathe*
So much has changed since lockdown began in March. It’s fair to say that when we matched on @bumble in early 2019… I had a funny feeling in my belly, on the way to our first date, that *this time* was going to be different. Mad, eh?! I think it also helps that we had spoken *a lot* over the previous days, on the phone, so I knew there was a connection. One that went beyond the usual just fancying the pants off one another on a dating app pic sort. There was no waiting game… no fannying around wondering “shall I wait a bit longer before I text back?” It felt equal. He made as much effort to come to see me, as I did to see him. Refreshing, eh?
