For years we have seen the romantic comedies about the nice guy being overlooked by his crush. In those movies, the nice guy usually gets the girl after she realizes she’s been in love with him the moment he shared juicebox with her on the merry-go-round at recess. Those guys grow up and move through dating with a playbook they’ve created to “Get the Girl.” In most cases, they still end up alone or in the friend zone and here are few reasons why.
1. They aren’t really that nice.
His nice gestures are a facade to make him seem more appealing. Nice guys are, in most cases, ingenious due to the fact that they are only motivated by the potential to have sex with you or get what they feel they are entitled to. When their “good deeds” haven’t been met with their expected results, they become jerks or insult your ability to pick up on their ulterior motive.
