Even though it sounds romantic when someone uses the phrase ‘he/she is my other half’ it is actually not psychologically sound.
Let’s do some relationship mathematics:
A half a person in relationship with another half a person makes a quarter of a relationship. There is not enough emotional strength and energy around for both parties.
Only a whole person in relationship with another whole person makes a whole relationship!
