Connection ❤️ it’s a basic human desire to want to feel connected to someone, desired by someone.

We talk about soul mates, twin flames, and yes, while I LOVE this language, I also have a very stoic approach to relationship having gone through my own healing journey. Erich Fromm’s book ‘The Art Of Loving’ redefined the different types of love for me after my divorce.

Philosophers, poets, writers, artists, musicians all romanticise the idea that we are all searching for our other half, and love is an ache that we feel. That we are never complete unless loved by another.

I was once a hopeless romantic. I stayed in a relationship that was unfulfilling and unhealthy all in the name of love ❤️ until there was none left. None for myself, none for each other. •

A conscious and ALIGNED relationship isn’t 50/50 as we are led to believe. It’s not two halves coming together to form one whole. A truly aligned and abundant relationship is 100/100. Two whole people, choosing to consciously come together and practice active love (because LOVE IS A CHOICE that you have control over) and hold the space for each other to grow, while individually invested in their own personal growth. •

I know it doesn’t sound as helplessly romantic but that’s because it’s actually an empowered way to love and be loved.
My clients in the Abundance Alignment mentorship program are learning how to be WHOLE within themselves and fill their own cup before searching for external sources of love and validation. Living and loving from a place of overflow, not emptiness. You can’t give what you don’t have.
