While we are figuring out phase 1 of #circuitbreaker that really is a semi-controlled lockdown, I read today that there is another 3 months of travel ban extension to #hongkong.

For all the coaching I do, the self-practice, the pleasure and emotional work I do… the ability to nurture myself when I’m overstretched, the ability to deep dive into my emotions even if it’s deep depths of sorrow or helplessness has allowed me to process a lot of learnings around separation during lockdown, while I continue to hold space for others in my work.

Part of my non-coaching work lies in another country. And as I’m learning, there is a face I also want to see – for no other reasons honestly – just that the travel ban feels impossible to bridge.

As I read the news on the 3 months extension, I no longer know what to think or feel. It’s an immense feeling of fatigue and tears. Like 2020 has let me down emotionally.

There is no should to how one feels. We carry messages of hope. We have a lot of learning and healing and growing to do. And we’ve ironically, got to learn to see how interconnected and dependent we are all to each other in every aspect of our lives. The masks of “being strong” don’t always fit the time of day. At least for me, not today.

There will be days where we can still carry faith without feeling like we hold any faith. There will be days where pleasure is still with us, but it still can’t negate the pain.
