Five Do’s and Dont’s with your teens.
1. Keep the conversation open. Talk about anything and everything
2. Always laise with the parents of their friends, or atleast know them.
3. Listen! listen!! just keep listening even when the conversation doesn’t make sense.
4. Always pick their side, it’s easier to correct them when you aren’t always against them.
5. Spend your time and money in things they love. Shopping, clothes, food, gargets etc.
1.Dont be afraid to set rules and boundaries, but learn to be flexible.
2. Don’t lose your sense of humor. Be their friend.
3. Don’t be overly protective, learn to detach sometimes.
4. Don’t forget they need privacy.
5. Don’t use the things they have told you in confidence against them.
So I’m dedicating this post to my mum. But to detach, that’s the difficult one for her.
